Ilaiyaraaja is an ardent Ramana Maharishi devotee and frequent visitor of Ramanasramam in Tiruvannamalai. You can find him at Arunachalaeswarar Temple, with his harmonium singing to his favourite deity. Raajavin Ramanamalai is the first of his 4 devotional albums on Ramana Maharishi. It was released in 2000 and the lyrics was written by Raaja himself.

Bikshai Paathiram was reused in Naan Kadavul with minor changes. My other favourite songs in the album are Sadha Sadha and Aaravumudhe. I am not a believer but I enjoy the peace given by the devotional albums.
